Marking the 3rd centenary of the birth of Antonio Jose da Silva, "The Jew," the Cistermúsica proud to produce and present, in co-production with SAMarionetas company, the opera "The Varieties of Proteus" with fascinating baroque music by António Teixeira, sung in Portuguese and premiered in 1737. This magical and comic story, of loves exchanged between princes and princesses of antiquity, will be presented, as at the time, with puppets, eight singers and an orchestra. premiered at the Bairro Alto de Lisboa theater in May 1737
